Austerlitz is a well known name playing an important role in shaping the European history. Its Czech name is Slavkov, a town very near the Czechs second largest city Brno. It was in this very place where Napoleon achieved his greatest victory in the Battle of Austerlitz known as the Battle of the Three Emperors.
 
First you will visit the chateau, which has an interesting oval room specially designed so that during political negotiations it was not possible to hear what individual clusters of delegates were discussing. An armistice was signed between France and Austria after Napoleon’s battle victory in this room.
 
You will also see a unique gallery of Baroque paintings and walk through sumptuous chambers with lavish decoration.
 
After that you will be transferred to the Austerlitz Battlefield where you will see the Cairn of Peace built to honour all victims of the memorable Battle of Austerlitz (2nd December 1805). There is also an interactive museum that will take you right into the middle of the battle.
