Brno is the second largest city in the Czech Republic and an administrative centre of the South Moravian Region.
It has got so much to offer, from beautiful architecture, various markets, lovely restaurants and numerous historical sites.
The most visited sites are Špilberk Castle and fortress, known as the most horrific dungeons in Europe. You can walk through the dark rooms as a part of the ‘Prison of nations’ exhibition. The castle also offers some great views across the city. Another beautiful site is the Gothic St. Peter and Paul’s Cathedral, built in 1777. Its two towers are a part of the characteristic silhouettes of Brno city. The view from the tower is a must.
The third most visited site is functionalist Villa Tugendhat designed by the German architect Mies van der Rohe. This architectural gem is on the UNESCO worlds heritage list. The guided tours for this villa are on selected days only and spaces are very limited so we have not included it in the program of this Brno tour. However, if you are interested in seeing this icon of modernism get in touch with us and we will see if it is possible to secure a space for you on your desired date at a supplement of €17 per person.
